Mint's Morgan Silver Dollar was produced in five different facilities during its twenty-eight years of minting, and was the primary coin struck at the New Orleans Mint from 1879 until 1904. The Morgan Dollar was struck from 0.7734 Troy oz. 900 fine silver with a diameter measuring 38.1 mm.

This silver dollar dated 1902 is a product of the New Orleans Mint and is counted among a final reported mintage of 8,636,000. Gorgeous Patriotic Image of Lady Liberty. Lady Liberty as envisioned by George T. Morgan is featured on the obverse, wearing a Phrygian cap and a crown bearing the inscription LIBERTY.

Her hair is entwined with wheat, cotton and oak, symbolizing the importance of agriculture to the growing nation. Thirteen stars, "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "1902" surround the portrait. Morgan's reverse design depicts an eagle with an olive branch and three arrows in its grasp.

Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, " "IN GOD WE TRUST, " "ONE DOLLAR" and the New Orleans Mint mark O.
