This engraver's painstaking attention to detail is beautifully displayed in the design of this golden bug coin. With the push of a button, the wings of the bug open to reveal a gorgeous gold body made from 22k gold. Roman Booteen (pronounced Butin) rose to prominence in the coin community for his intricate, creative and incredible Hobo Nickel designs. However, he started his carving career engraving Zippo lighters.
Booteen found himself rising in notoriety in the bullion community soon after, when he began carving unique hobo nickel designs. The reverse displays an intricately carved bug with operational wings that open with a push of a button. The bug's body, made from 22k gold, contains ornately carved etchings.
